Fall Harvest Feast - November 18th, 2016
For farmers in this area, fall harvest is always the year's greatest test of perseverance.
You have to admire the grim determination our farmers have as, already exhausted from the many months of long, hard days behind them, they face the drawn-out, all-hands-on-deck, daily grind of fall harvest. Every plant is found and picked clean, load after load of grain is hauled and dumped, augers are turned on and off and moved around, tractors & combines and semis are fueled, over and over, back and forth, all day long. Day. After. Day. After. Day.
(All while still tending to the regular chores of feeding and caring for livestock - a full-time job in itself.)
Though this year comes with extra worries as we deal with record-low prices, if you listen closely in our direction, you'll still hear a huge, collective sigh of relief when the last field is finished. We've worked our hardest, done our best all year, and THE JOB is finished. We'll be ready to celebrate, and we want you to join us!
