The Fork in the Road

Honor System Market

Welcome to our farm at The Fork in the Road! Our honor-system market is open 6:00 am - 10:00 pm for your shopping convenience. We carry home raised beef and pork, fruits and vegetables, local honey & jams, locally roasted coffee - as well as a variety of homemade food: pies, carrot cake, cookie dough, banana bread, and take-and-bake casseroles… we change it up with the seasons, so you never know what you’ll find! We bake cinnamon rolls every Friday morning - get them warm and gooey as early as 7:00 a.m. (First come, first served.)

We do not accept credit cards, but cash, check, venmo, and paypal are all accepted. We live here and are always happy to help - call anytime!

7/10/2026 Update - Cinnamon Rolls, Fresh Produce & Freezer Update

Happy Cinnamon Roll Day! As of 8:00 p.m. on Friday, we still have quite a few left, so here’s your chance if you missed the early ones! We have some nice California peaches, local tomatoes, jalapenos, zucchini, cucumbers, & potatoes right now, and we’ll soon be swimming in sweet corn and Colorado peaches. (Info below.)

FREEZER UPDATE

Our freezer in the store is still down - we expect the new one to be delivered next week. In the meantime, here is our list of available items that we are keeping in our kitchen freezers - feel free to call me and I’ll bring them out to you! 785-443-1796

SWEET CORN

Each year, a local farmer generously donates a field of sweet corn to the local Trail Life Troop to sell as a fundraiser, which they think will begin to be ready in the next week! We’ll buy corn from them to sell in the store, but if you’d like to have them deliver sweet corn to you, feel free to fill out the form below. It is free will donation - and since everyone asks for a suggested amount, $5-10/dozen is a good range. (We will be selling it for $8/dozen in the store.) The pictures above are our boys, last year, when they were still shorter than me. *sigh

COLORADO PEACHES

Another local farm girl we love is taking on the enterprise of coordinating a Colorado peach shipment and we’re partnering with her to be a delivery/pick up point. Like the sweet corn, I’ll be buying some from her to sell in the store (and for the continued baking of peach pies), but you can order whole or half lugs directly from her.
